Introduction to Oilfield Explosives Safety

This course is intended for first responders who may respond to an incident involving the natural gas industry. It covers the basic types of explosives used in the oil industry, the characteristics and behavior of those explosives, and a discussion of the various explosive tools and their associated hazards. The course is presented in a PowerPoint format and includes multimedia material that holds the attendee's attention. It is a casual, interactive format that allows for as much discussion as is required. Attendees will receive a reference manual and a certificate of course completion.
