Customized Job Training Program Eligibility Requirements
Any business, professional service or other enterprise is eligible for CJT funding. This term does not apply to point-of-sale businesses. Funding considerations will be limited to those applications that meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:
- Applications submitted on behalf of new start-up firms.
- Applications submitted on behalf of private companies newly located in the Commonwealth.
- Applications submitted on behalf of private companies clearly demonstrating a substantial expansion.
- Applications submitted on behalf of private companies clearly demonstrating a commitment to retain employees facing the loss of their jobs within the following six-month period if the customized training is not conducted. This commitment must be stated in a letter from the private company to the LEA.
- Applications submitted on behalf of private companies where upgrade training is a major factor to maintaining their competitiveness and long term viability.
