Weatherization Tactics
Includes in-class learning on building science theory and construction technology as well as lab exercises on methods and techniques for the installation of weatherization materials. Focuses on demonstration and hands-on application of weather stripping, insulation, ventilation, glazing, caulking, hand and power tools, measuring, safety measures, ductwork solutions, air sealing measures, and accessing attics. (29 HOURS). PA WEATHERIZATION SUBGRANTEES AND THEIR CONTRACTORS ARE ADMITTED AT NO CHARGE, SELECT THE SECTION WITH $0.00 COST (SELECT "OTHER" UNDER PAYMENT OPTIONS).
Prerequisite(s): Required for all new weatherization workers seeking Auditor certification.
