Introduction to Robotics
This class will provide a general overview of industrial robotics. Topics include historical facts, terms, and common robotic applications. Machine guarding and robot safety will be examined with references to current ANSI/RIA standards. Sample programs will be created and executed on the following robots: ABB IRB-1400 Industrial Robot, S4 controller; ABB IRB-2400L Industrial Robot, S4C controller; Adept 1 Robot, XGS controller; ABB IRB-1400 Industrial Robot, S4C controller.
Prerequisite(s): A general working knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems
