Medical Transcription Blended
Medical transcriptionists interpret, edit, and transcribe dictation by physicians and other health care professionals to create the legal documentation of medical care provided. This process facilitates the delivery of health care services and the reimbursement process. The program in includes 780 hours of classroom and hands-on learning and 240 Hours of internship experience. The transcription editing module of the program is delivered via distance learning. Participants will be expected to work independent of classroom instruction and adhere to a formal schedule for progress. Upon completion, participants will be able to sit for the Registered Medical Transcriptionist (RMT) exam offered by the American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT).
