This course is designed to provide participants with a basic working knowledge of fly-tying techniques to produce fishable flies. Topics include: an introduction to fly-tying tools and equipment, and their use; an introduction to fly-tying materials and their application to provide the basis for presentation of techniques to tie flies; and insight into fly design to enable the student to produce dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers.

Yoga is the union of the body, mind, and spirit. Appropriate for beginning and intermediate level students, practice sessions offer instruction on the basics of yoga: asanas (powerful stretching postures), pranayama (mastering energy), and meditation (divine stillness). In this introductory course to the healing arts, you will learn four kinds of massage in a primarily hands-on workshop. This class surveys the Gothic tradition in American literature and introduces participants to important writings by Irving, Hawthorne, Poe, and others. The texts ground participants in several of Gothic literature's principal themes: its judicious deployment of terror and horror, its flirtation with supernatural phenomena, and its keen interest in questions of moral ambiguity.

Learn to make traditional stab-bound books! The text pages are made of thin rice paper; each sheet is printed on one side, and it's folded in half at the fore edge to give strength to the page and to keep the ink from soaking through. Front and back covers are attached to the text by decorative stitching at the spine.

This course is for amateur to intermediate painters, who wish to improve and learn different techniques for acrylic painting. This course will explore color theory, color mixing, and paint blending to create the first painting. Participants will first learn "Impasto" (meaning painting with thick texture), impressionist styles will be the second project,"Knife" painting will be the third project, and "Hardedge" painting will be the final project.
