ServSafe Food Protection Certification
This food safety training program is administered by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation. Food safety, the dangers and prevention of foodborne illnesses, preventing cross-contamination, how to utilize time and temperature control effectively, and sanitation are covered. A certification examination is administered upon completion.

ServSafe Recertification
This course is for anyone with a current ServSafe certificate that is due for renewal. You are required to retest only if this is your first recertification course, and you will need to submit an application and fee to the PA Department of Agriculture. Recertification can only be taken if the current certification is still valid, otherwise you must take the full class with exam.
