Carl Building Technologies Center

Constructed in 1980

The Carl Building Technologies Center provides instructional laboratories and classrooms for programs related to building construction, service, and maintenance.

Skills students learn here often are applied off campus, onto real- world projects, in order to continue the "hands-on" educational experience in ways that benefit the community.

Students Build

Students designed and built a number of College facilities including the Thompson Professional Development Center, Victorian House, Morgan Valley Retreat Center, and Field House.

In addition, a homebuilding project conducted by forerunners of Pennsylvania College of Technology provided practical experience for students and introduced new family homes into the community.

Six homes in the Williamsport area, designed and built by students of Williamsport Technical Institute and Williamsport Area Community College, were purchased by local residents in the 1960s and 70s.
