Wildcat Welcome Team
Wildcat Welcome Team members assume many roles throughout Connections and
Welcome Weekend. They are selected to serve as role models for incoming students
by displaying the responsibility and maturity of an upper-class student. Wildcat
Welcome Team members work in small and large groups with first-year students,
transfer students, guests of new students, College faculty and staff. A Wildcat
Welcome Team member must be flexible, and willing to learn and accept
responsibility. A high level of motivation, enthusiasm and dedication is also
required in order to ensure the success of the Connections Program and Welcome
Weekend.
Qualifications Desired in a Wildcat Welcome Team Member:
- Be responsible, reliable, confident and flexible.
- Possess strong communication skills in order to facilitate group discussions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to helping others and enjoy working with people.
- Demonstrate a sincere desire to learn about Penn College, its traditions, its policies, its people and its programs.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
- Be willing and available to attend ALL training and required sessions.

Time Commitments:
- Attend a mandatory Wildcat Welcome Team meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 7 p.m.
- Return to campus on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 for the start of training.
- Participate in all training activities, Saturday, Aug. 9 through Wednesday, Aug. 13.
- Provide support during the Aug. 14 & 15 Connections session.
- Help to facilitate all aspects of Welcome Weekend Aug. 16 & 17.
- Attend Welcome Weekend and First Week social activities.
