Annual Organization Requirements
Student Organization Update Form – due the first week of October – All student organizations, even those that do not request funding through SGA, are required to submit a Student Organization Update Form to the Campus Center Information Desk to maintain recognition as an official student organization.
To be eligible to apply for the next academic year for funding, the organization must fulfill the following requirements during the current academic year:
- Attend a Student Organization Workshop during the designated week in September. Each student organization is required to send only one of its members to the workshop, but is certainly encouraged to send all officers and any general members who are interested in attending.
- Complete the following programs by the end of the academic year:
- 2 College Service activities
- 2 Community Service activities
- 2 Fundraisers
- Attend the SGA Budget Workshop, which will be held in the Spring semester. As with the Student Organization Workshop, each organization is required to send only one member, but all are welcome.
- Earn the minimum number of SGA Cup points by the budget submission deadline in March. [SGA Cup Competition (Links to SGA Web site)]
- Organizations that do not earn the required number of points will lose 10% of their submitted budget for the following year.
- For newly recognized organizations, the total SGA Cup points will be prorated according to the date that the organization earned recognition.
- The maximum number of SGA Cup points will not change throughout the year, even if other events are added to the SGA Cup point competition.
