Alcohol Awareness Week - SNA
created a game representing the consequences of drinking alcohol. A visual aid
about the effects of alcohol on the liver was also featured.
Care Package Drive - The care packages for our troops drive started out as a collection just within the Student Nurses’ Association but due to interest from other organizations, it blossomed into a campus-wide collection from other organizations, faculty, staff, and students.
Clearly Kids Expo - Held at the Pickelner Arena and sponsored by the YMCA We handed out baked potato chips and pretzels in an effort to show how we cut calories and still eat the foods we love.
Candle Sale - Our candle sale was again conducted through Colonial Candlecrafters based in Lewisburg, PA. This money was put into our club account and will help us send some people to conferences.
Flowers for graduates - SNA gave away flowers with inspiring quotes attached, to graduates of the nursing programs in the fall and spring semesters.
Custom Picture Plate Sale - This was a fundraiser done by one of our members, Amanda Turner, through her family's business. People were able to submit pictures and have them put onto collectible plates. People were very satisfied with the product.
Sexual Awareness Week - SNA hosted a game at their table called "Dirty Minds". It was a lighthearted game in which all participants had fun.
Clothing Sales - We had a clothing sale in the fall and spring semesters this year, which were very successful in promoting nursing at Penn College.
Shepherds of the Street - This was a hygiene drive in which we collected items for a homeless shelter in Williamsport.
The Giving Tree - SNA purchased items for three Williamsport youth, so they could have presents to open on Christmas day.
Mitten Tree - Winter clothing items were donated and placed on a tree in the nursing lab. These items went to local needy families during the cold winter months.
Fall and Spring Open House - Current students spoke with prospective students about what it is like to be a student at Penn College.
