Residence Hall Association

Purpose:

  • To provide an incentive for students to attend and participate in programming
  • To increase attendance at all Residence Life Programs
  • To increase a sense of residence hall community through the addition and deduction of points
  • To promote and support the mission of the Residence Hall Association

How to Account for Points:

  • Points will be issued in the form of “Wooden Tokens.”
  • Each Residence Hall will have a designated token which is differentiated by color.

    Red: Rose Street
    Green:
    Campus View
    Blue:
    The Village
    Purple:
    College West

Promotion of Points:

  • Points will be given out at Residence Hall Association meetings
  • Each student will receive a plastic cup as a “give-away” in their room upon arriving to their apartment.  These cups will serve as “token receptacles” to promote the program.
  • RA's will hand out the points at RA and RHA events and programs.

Event Distribution of Points:

  • The number of points given to residents will be determined by the SRA.
    • Educational Programs award more points than Social Programs
    • Residents that assist with set up/tear down of programs/events will be awarded more points
  • RHA and the SRA’s will be responsible for “holding” and distributing the tokens

Prizes/Benefits of Points:

  • Individual Points
    • Grand Prize - Students who have individually collected over a certain amount of points (60 for full-year students and 30 for students starting in spring semester) may apply to have their name placed in a drawing for the GRAND PRIZE. The grand prize is one year of on-campus housing and a 10-meal board plan; FREE.  Students who are eligible are those who have already been guaranteed a spot for next yesr.
    • Auction – RHA will host a large auction at the end of year where items can be purchased with individual Hall Points (items for the auction will be purchased and donated)
  • Combined Residence Hall Points
    • Complex will have its name on a plaque to be displayed in Residence Life. A large trophy will be made and held at the winning complex. This trophy will change locations each year.

Not Eligible for Points:

  • Students who are NOT eligible for Wildcat Hall Points include:    
    • Off campus students
    • RHA Executive Board Members
    • Resident Assistants

Wildcat Hall Point Auction:

An auction will take place at the end of each school year. There will be prizes available to be auctioned off in exchange for hall points. The type of auction will be decided by the Programming Coordinator. During the auction a party or other event shall take place.
