Meeting Minutes for March 29, 2005

  1. Extreme gratitude is to be extended to all members who participated in the Sheetz coupon fund-raising event.
  2. Gratitude is also to be extended to those of you who helped with the canned-food drive help last month
    • Special thanks to Bruce Schlichter and Danielle Young who were particularly helpful in obtaining the required materials and filling the necessary forms needed to obtain permission from Student Activities respectively.
  3. Next meeting
    • 26 APR 05
      • 3:30 P.M.
        • ATHS Building
          • Room E252
  1. The upcoming meeting is especially important because it is your opportunity to decide who the leaders of Alpha Chi are for the upcoming year.  The current officer team of Chris Hepburn, Ryan K. Zimmerman, and Heather Cronrath are all expecting to be graduating by December 2005, so this provides an excellent leadership opportunity to those who wish to lead.
  2. Remember, Alpha Chi is your club!  You earned the right to be invited to join it!  You can participate in multiple ways, even in ways that may seem unconventional.  While it is understandable that members have busy schedules and familial obligations, there are plenty of opportunities where members can help further Alpha Chi as a student organization besides attending the monthly meetings.

Meeting Minutes for Nov. 30th, 2004

  1. We voted on a fund raiser, and it was decided that we would pursue the Sheetz promotion as it was relatively easy and a great success in the past.

  2. The second issue discussed was a service event. Two were decided upon. The first was the FBLA event which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 6th.

[Because of school closings, the event was rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 7th. As a result of the schedule change a few of the members who were able to participate on Thursday were unable to for Friday. Our two fearless leaders, Chris and Ryan, both were able to participate.]

The second service event that we decided on was to put on a canned food drive. A date for the start of this event has not been decided, it is looking like starting in February or March. Start dates will be discussed at the next meeting.

  3. The third issue discussed was the AX website. Ryan attended an informational meeting with the SGA to find out all the particulars. We already have an established website, but is has not been maintained in some time. Ryan has volunteered his time and expertise in updating the information and events. As of right now the location of our website within Penn College’s website is difficult to find, but by keeping an updated site and following some parameters set out by the college our site will have easy access through the college website.
