Program Goals
The Automotive Technology: Ford ASSET program has been carefully designed to provide Ford, Lincoln-Mercury and Mazda dealerships and their customers with technicians that are well qualified in Ford service technologies and methods.
ASSET also:
Ensures that ASSET-trained service technicians are able to understand and work with new systems and components as they are introduced.
Enables ASSET-trained personnel to earn an associate's degree and — after additional dealership experience — make advancements in their career paths.
Student Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Must be sponsored by a Ford, Lincoln-Mercury or Mazda dealership
- Must meet and maintain high academic standards and adhere to Penn College's academic policies
- Must participate in all learning activities at the scheduled times
- Must provide your sponsoring dealership with responsible and productive employment
- Must be responsible for the program costs which include tuition, fees and tools
How Do I Qualify for Ford ASSET?
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must be a high school graduate (or equivalent)
- Must be 18 years of age or older by the time of your first dealership work assignment
- Must have the ambition to succeed in a challenging profession
