Mazda has decided they want me in California and we are currently negotiating this move. If this does happen, I will become the manager of the technical assistance hotline.
I received a phone call from the Vice President of Human Resources of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America.... I was chosen as the trainee for the Northeast Region, and things have been going great....Mitsubishi takes very good care of me and provides me with a company car every 7500 miles, a laptop computer, phone cards, gas cards, expense accounts, and an incredible benefits package. The starting salary is $40,040.
I had an interview with Ford ... [and] they called to offer me the position.... I'll get to work with cars and computers (my two favorites)....
Today, I received official word that I got the promotion to a corporate Sprinter instructor. Thank you for helping me land the job with the experience [I] learned.
Toyota is treating the interns very well.... I have been involved with the research and development of design changes on Toyota and Lexus vehicles.... I have had the opportunity to be involved in a lot of other projects.... I have written a couple TSBs (technical service bulletins), and evaluated some of the current TSBs being published. Most recently, I was working on a parts and service show called the NATSC or North American Technical Service Conference. The presentation was accepted so well by Toyota Motor Corporation that it is now being sent to Japan to be shown [to] the engineers and managers.... I have an interview for a corporate trainee position that leads to product engineer.
This course has made me more aware of safety violations and hazards that would otherwise have gone undetected. I considered myself a very safe and well-informed technician and instructor until this course.
