Distance Learning Option

The distance learning option is available for junior- and senior-level courses. All freshman and sophomore courses must be completed either on campus or transferred into Penn College from an accredited college.

Courses in the distance learning format require that the student work independently to meet each deadline with high quality error-free work. Each assignment's content is the same as the on-campus version of the course, but students are solely responsible for making the time necessary to study and fully comprehend the subject matter. It is not uncommon for an average distance learning student to set aside between five and eight hours per week to complete the required readings and assignments in one course. In addition, to successfully complete the distance learning Automotive Technology Management course assignments, the student must draw upon their past professional and managerial work experience.

In most cases, it will take a distance learning student three to four years to complete the junior and senior courses. (Note: Most distance learning students are part-time and take two courses per semester. They also transfer, on average, 60 credits into Penn College.)

Visit the Distance Learning Web site for more information about completing this degree via distance learning.
