Graduate Skills
Graduates have completed training on maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on all systems of the automobile and light truck, including:
- Engine overhaul
- Brake system
- Steering and suspension
- Automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains
- All-wheel drive and four-wheel drive
- Electrical accessories
- Heating and air conditioning
- Engine performance and computer controls
While at Penn College, students in the AU and AM programs have the opportunity to complete some manufacturer-sponsored training, making them more valuable to potential employers. Students also will have the opportunity to take ASE certification courses to certify for Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling, to earn their Pennsylvania State Inspector’s license, and to certify as an emissions inspector in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
