Our American Bar Association (ABA) approved programs prepare students to assist attorneys in the performance of their professional duties.

Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 17% through 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. (source)

Penn College has an extensive on-campus law library.Penn College has an extensive on-campus law library with federal and state sources and fully-networked and Internet accessible research capabilities. In addition to knowledgeable law library staff, we also have a dedicated paralegal program tutor.

The median annual wage for paralegals and legal assistants was $47,570 in May 2013. (source)

Related Minors

  • A baccalaureate (Bachelor of Science [B.S.]) student may earn up to two minors
  • A student may not enroll in a minor within the same discipline as the declared major
  • The Legal Studies minor (MLS) is not an ABA-approved program option.

Paralegals operate under the supervision of a licensed attorney and are prohibited from practicing law.
