Electric power generation technology is one of the fastest growing careers in the mechanical equipment field.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's curriculum offers students the opportunity to develop the skills needed to install, maintain, diagnose and service on-site power generation units. Generally, generators powered by internal combustion engines produce on-site power.

Emphasis is placed on providing continuous power, peak power, prime power and standby power by mechanical powered generator units and electronic controls and switching mechanism for transmission and distribution of the power.

Real world laboratory facilities include:

Electric Power Generation faculty have completed industry courses to develop advanced skills in electric power generation equipment and technology.
