Facilities and equipment supporting the educational program include:
- approximately 300 acres of timber
- two-acre pond
- extensive trail network
- 8,000 square foot sawmill
- two dry kilns
- skidd steer
- log truck with loader
- dozer
A variety of power and hand tools needed to complete smaller curriculum-related laboratory projects are available for student use. Students will use Trimble hand-held global positioning units for applications in surveying, cartography, GIS (geographic information systems) and data collection. GIS is computer-based technology for collecting, managing, analyzing, modeling and presenting geographic data for a wide range of applications.
