I love to read, to be outside, and to travel with my family. I enjoy music and the arts and find that both are wonderfully linked with mathematics. One of my favorite quotes is:

"I believe there is a mystery burning like a light behind the appearance of things. Or you could say it is a peace at the heart of our tumult. On such a day as this, moments of quiet take us by surprise. Have you not found it so?" - Elizabeth Goudge

"I am a mathematician with research interests in complex analysis, particularly modern geometric function theory. I received my Ph. D from University of Cincinnati in 1993 under the direction of Taft professor Carl David Minda. So far, I have published forty-nine research papers and given twenty-three presentations at national and international conferences. I started at Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1993. Usually, I teach differential equations, calculus, and elementary statistics with computer applications."

"I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami with a double major in Economics and Political Science. At that time I also earned a minor in Management Science. My graduate degree, also from the University of Miami, is in Applied Statistics and Operations Research. Before coming to Penn College in 2003, I taught at the University of Miami's School of Business as well as Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, Florida."
