Mathematics Tutoring Center Assistance
Penn College's Tutoring Center provides tutorial support from student and professional tutors in English, mathematics and a variety of other subject areas.
For mathematics, services include walk-in (no appointment necessary) tutoring in the Center for all math courses offered at the College. (Certain mathematics courses will require professional tutors; please ask for a schedule for advanced courses.) During peak hours, the Tutoring Center has three mathematics tutors on duty.

Q: I am having trouble in my mathematics class. Where can I get help?
A: The Penn College Tutoring Center is available for students who require assistance in a variety of courses. The Center is staffed with both student and professional tutors who are capable of tutoring students taking any mathematics course offered by the College. During peak hours, the Tutoring Center has three mathematics tutors available at all times.
Q: Where is the Tutoring Center located?
A: The Tutoring Center is located on the first floor of the Klump Academic Center (ACC), in the east wing.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment to go to the Tutoring Center?
A: No appointments are necessary. The Tutoring Center operates on a walk-in basis.
Q: I am taking an advanced mathematics course. Can the Tutoring Center help me?
A: The Tutoring Center can help students taking all mathematics courses offered by Penn College, even the more advanced courses like calculus and differential equations. However, the Tutoring Center has only a few tutors capable of tutoring advanced subjects, and the hours of availability of tutors for advanced subjects will be restricted. Check with the Center for hours for your particular course.
Q: I need more help than I can get from the Tutoring Center. Where can I find a private tutor?
A:The Tutoring Center maintains a list of private tutors. If you are interested in obtaining a private tutor, you can obtain a list of names and phone numbers of tutors from the Tutoring Center. It is your responsibility to contact a tutor and make arrangements for tutoring. There is an hourly fee involved with obtaining a private tutor. Tutors set their own fees, and are paid directly by the student.
