"Currently I have teaching responsibilities here at Penn College in the areas of Offset Lithography, Screen & Specialty Printing and Flexography - in addition to teaching the Introduction to Graphic Communications course. I have been teaching for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to also spend some 10 years working directly in the printing industry."

Karen Murray received her B.S. in Printing Management from Rochester Institute of Technology and her Masters of Technology in Graphic Communications from Arizona State University. Miss Murray has published several articles about the industry in the International Graphic Arts Education Association Journal and Southwest Graphics.

Prior to coming to Penn College Miss Murray spent several years in the industry in various prepress and management positions. She is currently instructing students in those areas as well as heading the internship program for Graphic Communications.

Tom has twenty-five plus years of experience in the graphic communications and printing industries covering a variety of positions in both production and management. He has experience with flexography, gravure, and offset tag and label converters, flexo and gravure packaging manufacturers, RFID converters, ink and substrate purchasing, and commercial printing.

Courses include Applied Typography and Design, Digital Imaging, Finishing and Distribution, Printing Production, Output Workflow, Inks and Substrates, Advanced Imaging Techniques, Printing Production Management, and a variety of graphic communications management and specialty print subjects.
