Cisco Systems Emphasis
The Federal government's Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment opportunities for Computer Network Analysts will increase by 36 percent, or more, by the year 2012. The skills you will learn prepare you to take advantage of these opportunities and an exciting career!

Penn College is a Cisco Systems Networking Academy.
Since 2002, the Cisco Networking Academy Program at Penn College has offered students an A.A.S. degree that includes the popular Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
Cisco networking classes will be taught using the Cisco e-learning system that, while leveraging the Internet and Web technologies at the heart of its curriculum, also supports prescriptive learning, providing an individualized learning experience for each student. Support courses will include Optical Communications and Computer Maintenance. Students will earn an associate degree in Electronics and Computer Technology from Penn College and a certificate from the Cisco Networking Academy.
Penn College's associate degree provides a unique opportunity for students to gain fundamental skills in electronics during the first year of study and choose an area of specialization in the second year. Those who choose the Cisco Systems Emphasis also will gain the skills required to build and maintain modern computer and communications network infrastructure.
Work on actual networks! Penn College uses all Cisco gear for its network infrastructure.
The program prepares students to sit for industry standard certifications including:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Network+
Graduates of the Cisco Networking Academy are eligible for a 50% discount on the price of the CCNA certification exam.
For individuals who have already earned CCNA certification, this program offers the opportunity to also earn CCNP certification by completing Cisco Systems III and IV classes (EET 330 and 332).
