I have been a Registered Nurse since 1975. The majority of my clinical experience is in critical care arena. I taught at Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing from 1984-88 and came to Penn College in 1991. I maintain clinical expertise by working per diem at SHS on a critical care step down unit. I am married with 4 grown children. I thoroughly enjoy my teaching career at Penn College - mainly due to the variety of students I get to know each year. Students both challenge and affirm my love for nursing and teaching. I have high expectations and standards but belief that empowerment comes from positive encouragement rather than drill sergeant negativism. Nursing is a great profession - both an art and a science!
