Dining Room Service
The competency credential in Dining Room Service provides students with basic skills in sanitary service practices, tableservice, and wine and beverage service.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May 2010, median hourly wages (including tips) of waiters and waitresses were $8.81. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $7.54, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $14.41 an hour. For most waiters and waitresses, higher earnings are primarily the result of receiving more in tips rather than higher hourly wages.
