Transfer Option

Transfer Procedure: Individuals who have received a certificate, A.O.S., A.A.S., or A.S. degree in culinary arts from an American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission (ACFAC) accredited program will be granted third-year status provided they have satisfied the academic core requirements of the first two years of Penn College’s B.S. degree in Culinary Arts and Systems. All other potential transfers will be evaluated by the Dean of Hospitality and the Registrar’s Office on a case-by-case basis. Please see the requirements below:

Students will need to complete the credit and content equivalency of the following courses in order to be eligible for Junior (5th semester) status. Some or all of these types of classes are usually a part of the Associate of Applied Science or Associate Degree that is being transferred. The Office of Admissions will evaluate transfer credits for these courses. Students may need to take some of these classes (the course names and numbers as found at Penn College are below) at Penn College to fulfill the requirements.
