  • Research Interests
    • Architecture is a process, a process that creates, molds, and shapes our world. I'm interested in architecture that adopts a restorative, symbiotic, and regenerative approach; architecture that captures the essence of space; architecture of experiences and events. My ultimate goal is the advancement of sustainable architecture: a process that entails promoting high performance buildings that are well integrated, energy efficient, and highly resilient. I'm constantly striving to promote architecture that is equally articulated by both tectonics and environment. As designers, we need to strive towards a pragmatic utopian architecture that promotes socially, economically, and environmentally practical and playful places. The research area that I’m interested in covers the areas of Ecology and the Built environment. The subject matter encompasses the study of the nexus between the various ecological systems and the built environment. The objective of the research is to develop paradigms that will lead to advancement and evolution of sustainable and regenerative architectural solutions.
    • The following is a list of research topics that I’m interested in pursuing:
      • Discourse Analysis in the Context of Sustainability
      • Biomimicry
      • Ecological design and Ecological Urbanism
      • Bio-climatic Architecture
      • Dynamic/Responsive/Smart Facades
      • Regenerative and symbiotic design
      • One Planet Communities
      • Sustaining cities in the developing world
