Purchasing Equipment & Tools
Students within the School of Construction & Design Technologies have two options for purchasing the tools that are required for their majors. The first option is to purchase the authorized tool kit that is available through the College Bookstore. The kit will have all of the tools needed for the student’s program of study.
Students also have the option of purchasing their tools from a retailer of their choice. Typically, during the first class session each semester, the instructors will indicate which tools will be needed for the class, and will often offer their own observations, in terms of the advantages and disadvantages of various brands of tools. If students choose this option, we recommend that they purchase the required tools during the first week of the semester.
