Renewable Energy Technologies
This associate's degree in Renewable Energy Technologies prepares students for jobs in industry as renewable energy technicians. Students develop the practical skills needed to install, troubleshoot, and maintain photovoltaic, wind turbine, and solar thermal systems. The course work includes theory and lab practice in energy fundamentals, sustainability, construction practices, electrical currents and wiring, mechanical piping, drawings, codes, and process controls. A strong background in math, science and technical writing increases students' career opportunities. Graduates will also have the background needed to transfer to a four-year technology program.

Students in the following majors are required to purchase their own personal tools as they progress through the program. Not all tools are required initially, and students should talk to their instructors on the first day of classes to find out which ones are required. Students who qualify for financial aid may purchase their tools through the College Store.
