Electrical Technology A.A.S. Degree [Curriculum]

The Electrical Technology degree provides an excellent background for varied careers in electrical and electronics technology including:
- Troubleshooting circuitry in industrial electronics
- Advanced electrical theory
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
Students develop the practical skills needed to work with electrical machinery, electric and electronic machine control devices, and other electronic equipment. The coursework emphasizes electrical and electronic basics and includes theory and lab experience in troubleshooting circuitry, industrial electronics, electrical machinery and electrical construction practices.
The program prepares students for positions such as:
- Electronic apparatus troubleshooter
- Electrical laboratory technician
- Electrical engineering technologies
- Layout facilitator
- Electrical/electronic design assistant
Graduates also may continue at Penn College toward a bachelor's degree in Building Automation Technology or transfer 100% of their credits to The Pennsylvania State University and work toward a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
