Instruction & Facilities
Our faculty work closely with each student on their professional development and class selections. Students in the major work with each other in dynamic group situations, simulation exercises and field exercises.
Our class size ranges from about 16-22 students.
Most of our courses are taught by our full-time faculty. Our continued growth has necessitated the hiring of some qualified adjunct faculty. All of our adjunct faculty work full-time in construction-related fields and must go through an interview process, including an actual lesson, to assess teaching effectiveness.
We are committed to providing modern facilities with the most recent software releases. We are also committed to creating the opportunity for students to learn the fundamental concepts used in the practice of construction management, so that graduates have a wide variety of career options.
Major equipment include:
- Surveying equipment, including state-of the-art Sokkia Total Stations
- Cabinetmaking machinery
- Woodworking machinery
- Two work vans for off-campus projects
- Off-site work trailer including portable generators and compressors
- Automatic nailing equipment
- Masonry mixers and brick/stone saws
