Program Accreditation

The Construction Management major is currently in the "Candidate Status" for accreditation by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE). The major may remain as a candidate for up to five years while the internal and external reviews are done to assure the necessary elements are in place to become fully accredited. While in a candidate status, students in the major are eligible for scholarships through the ACCE, and graduates are eligible to take the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) exam. Passing this exam is a quality credential graduates may add to their resume that may translate to increased salaries and responsibilities.

The Construction Management major expects to complete an initial self-study during the 2005-06 academic year, with any necessary changes to be implemented the following years. An accreditation visit will follow after the changes have been put in place and verified.
