NEW Building Science and Sustainable Design bachelor’s degree addresses industry needs for modern buildings and promotes a better way of building and a healthier environment.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's Construction Management bachelor's degree was instituted in 1992.
The Construction Management major is divided into three distinct academic areas which students take concurrently:
- Construction management
- General education, which forms the core of a liberal arts education
- General business and management
As students progress through the program, they receive advanced instruction on tools and knowledge required to run complex construction projects. Students also develop technical skills in a variety of software programs used for scheduling, estimating, and other construction applications.
Students receive the OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry completion card through successful completion of the required elements included in our Construction Safety Management course. Students are also required to sit for the American Institute of Constructors (AIC) Level I – Associate Constructor Certification.
Graduates have a diverse set of skills and abilities that could prepare them for employment in the natural gas industry.

Faculty teach theory and lab courses in residential and commercial building construction management, scheduling, estimating and cost control, planning, supervision, architectural drafting, surveying, and project management.
The program was accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) effective July 2008.
Transfers from two-year associate degree programs are encouraged.
