Special Admission Requirements
Recommended High School Subjects: A strong background in English, mathematics (at least through algebra so students are calculus-ready), and science is desired. A familiarity with computer equipment and software is also desired.
Special Considerations: Many jobs in information security will require background checks and/or security clearances. Ethical behavior is necessary if a student expects to succeed in this field.
Application Considerations: Consider applying early and remediate needed classes prior to entering your freshman term. College algebra and pre-calculus are frequently available during the summer. Calculus must be completed before starting junior level coursework.
