The Business Administration: Management Information Systems major provides students with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to design, implement, and maintain efficient and effective information systems.
By integrating a strong base of theoretical and practical instruction in core business, technical and interpersonal communications courses, the BBS curriculum at Pennsylvania College of Technology thoroughly prepares students to enter career fields such as:

A professor of business administration/management and head of the business administration department at Penn College recently attended the 2008 Biannual International Conference of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education in Barcelona, Spain. Penn College Business Students Tour New York Stock Exchange

Fifteen Penn College students recently received the requisite security clearance to tour the New York Stock Exchange, an almost-unheard-of consideration amid ongoing and intensive national vigilance. “The students conducted themselves to the highest professional standard and demonstrated their knowledge of markets and business in general. Terry A. Girdon, head of the business administration department at Penn College, has been elected to a third term as chair of the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. The re-election of Girdon, a professor of business administration/management in the college’s School of Business and Computer Technologies, occurred during the IACBE’s annual conference in Newport Beach, Calif., April 1-4. The Board of Commissioners is the body responsible for setting accreditation expectations and reviewing the self-study and site-visit reports for purposes of granting accreditation. Continue to story

A faculty member in Penn College's School of Business and Computer Technologies has been selected as a regional recipient of the 2008 Teaching Excellence Award from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. The honor puts Irwin H. Siegel – professor of business administration/business law and recipient of Penn College's 2005 Master Teacher Award – in the running for an international award at the association’s June 20-23 conference in New Orleans.
