Many of our students are placed into co-ops with regional financial institutions, significantly increasing the students' marketability upon graduation. Students seeking a position directly or indirectly in finance should consider this program, given the need for specialist and non-specialist managers who have a solid understanding of finance.
Professionals already working in the area of finance, but seeking a degree from an accredited institution, can apply coursework as continuing education credits from the state to satisfy licensure requirements.
Students completing the program are strongly encouraged to take the Series 6 and 63 securities license exams. Students are encouraged to use electives to complete courses leading to the Financial Planning minor and become eligible to sit for the CFP certification examination.
