About the Financial Planning Competency Credential [Curriculum]
Students with the desire to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner will find that this competency credential provides a broad background in financial planning that can prepare them for certification. CFP® practitioners must meet education, examination, experience and ethics standards established by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners Inc. (IBCFP). Graduates are eligible to sit for the national CFP examination, administered by IBCFP.
