NEW Building Science and Sustainable Design bachelor’s degree addresses industry needs for modern buildings and promotes a better way of building and a healthier environment.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's Architecture Department offers a two-year associate of applied science degree in Architectural Technology. Class sizes range from about 16 to 22 students.
Architectural facilities include:
- Three computer labs with specialized architectural software including:
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD for Architecture
- 3D Studio MAX
- Two additional classrooms
- A main studio space that combines computer stations and layout tables as well as a model-building room and photography studio
Graduates have a diverse set of skills and abilities that could prepare them for "green" careers focused on energy, renewable energy, and the environment.
All courses are taught either by full-time or adjunct faculty. All adjunct faculty work full-time in the field of architecture, and many have their own firms. Faculty are committed to creating the opportunity for students to learn the fundamental concepts used in architectural practice so that graduates have a wide variety of career options.
