Resident Assistant Program
The Office of Residence Life is looking for outgoing, dependable and sincere men and women to work as Resident Assistants (RAs). If you are the type of person who enjoys being a positive role model and is genuinely interested in the welfare of your fellow students, then you are exactly the type of person that we are looking for. Not only do RAs receive valuable leadership training and experience — they also receive free housing in the residence hall for the academic year!
Resident Assistant Program
Watch for position announcements at the beginning of your second semester.
Minimum qualifications:
- Enrolled full-time at Penn College both semesters;
- Willing to make a commitment to Residence Life for an entire academic year;
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, and a minimum of 24 credits earned toward graduation at the time you begin the position;
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of maturity;
- No outstanding judicial record with the College;
- Must be willing to undergo a mandatory Resident Assistant training program.
Preference will be given if:
- you are enrolled in a 4-year program;
- you have lived in on-campus housing for at least 1 semester; and/or
- you hold a leadership position at the College or in the residence hall (for example, membership with the Student Government Association, the Residence Hall Association, or participating in a leadership development course).
