[Frequently Asked Questions about Transcripts]

Information needed to request a transcript:

To provide you the best service possible and maintain the security of your academic record, we require the following information:

Requesting Your Official Transcript

The official transcript is the College's official statement of your academic record. The official transcript is printed on security-sensitive paper and contains the signature of the College's Registrar. The transcript lists all course work, with grades in chronological order. If applicable, the official transcript also contains notations of distinctions, minors and degree received. Official transcripts will only be mailed to a designated third party. Our standard method of delivery is via first class U.S. Mail.

Please keep in mind that processing time at the beginning and end of each semester could increase due to the high volume of requests received.

For your protection, we will not release transcripts without your permission, except in the case of subpoena or law enforcement directive.

If you were enrolled prior to 1980, you must request an official transcript by mail, fax, or in person; you will not be able to utilize the Student Information System (SIS).

If you were enrolled from 1980 to the present time, you can request an official transcript through the Student Information System (SIS). In this time period you were assigned a PIN, which is needed to log in to SIS. If you don't know your PIN, please contact the Registrar's Office.

Requesting Your Unofficial Transcript

The unofficial transcript has the same information about the student as an official transcript, but is not signed by the Registrar, and is stamped "Issued to Student" in the official signature block. Unofficial transcripts can be issued either by U.S. Mail or by fax.

An unofficial transcript can be requested through SIS, or by completing the Transcript Request Form (PDF) and mailing, faxing, or delivering it in person to the Registrar's Office.

* The Registrar's office requires your Social Security number for the purpose of verifying your identity with your official educational records. If you do not provide your Social Security number, the College cannot guarantee the authenticity of your transcript. The College will not disclose Social Security numbers to anyone outside of the College without an individual's consent except as mandated by law.
