Welcome to New Students
We couldn’t be happier that you’ve chosen Pennsylvania College of Technology. We hope this soon feels like home to you, too, and that you’ll cherish the experiences – in and out of the classroom – as you attain the practical skills that are so much in demand in this challenging world.
It won’t always be easy, but neither was your first day of kindergarten or those cautious weeks with your learner’s permit. You will have to invest energy, time, and devotion. Some will need to develop problem-solving skills, creative thinking, better study habits, thicker skin, and stronger defenses against everyday temptations.
Fortunately, you will be guided by some of the finest educators and most student-oriented employees any college could offer. They are dedicated to making your Penn College years as healthy, happy, and personally rewarding as possible. We will counsel you, pick you up when you’re down, applaud you when you excel, and – most importantly – give you the tools to build a life.
You will work side-by-side with people of different ages, backgrounds, interests and goals. Your classmates will range from those fresh out of high school to those returning to the workforce to retain marketability in uncertain economic times.
I urge you to take advantage of activities outside the classroom. Penn College offers an array of cocurricular and extracurricular offerings. Involved students are better students, and your commitment to campus and community can make the difference between making your mark and just marking time.
We’re poised for another exciting year at Penn College – a year of challenge and change – as we work together to be strong, competitive, and responsive to 21st-century workforce needs.
This beautiful campus, functional buildings, state-of-the-art instructional equipment, and dedicated employees and administration . . . all of those parts that combine to offer degrees that work . . . are meaningless without you, the students who have invested in us to fulfill your dreams.
