For over 20 years, Andy Routsis, as the president and founder of the premier plastics industry training organization, A. Routsis Associates, has used training to lower scrap rates, reduce tooling damage, and decrease machine downtime in over 1,900 companies, in over 31 countries.

As an international consultant to the plastics industry, he regularly travels and lectures extensively throughout Asia and Europe, as well as North America. Since hundreds of companies in dozens of countries are profiting from a certified workforce, he is currently working with Polymer Training Limited (PTL), UK in introducing Global Standards for Plastics Certification (GSPC) to the United States, so American companies can also gain this global competitive edge.

He is also very active with all of the major plastics associations such as MAPP, SPE, and SPI, as well as educational facilities that teach and promote plastics. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, Department of Engineering.
