PIRC Course
Global Standards for Plastics Certification

A 120 hour self-paced interactive computer-based and hands-on training held at your facility. Global Standards for Plastics Certification (GSPC) is an internationally recognized training program resulting in a global certification. This comprehensive curriculum is used in countries throughout the world, including the United States. Originally developed by the UK government in the 1970's, GSPC has become the most rigorous and comprehensive certification system available to the plastics industry. The certification is based on an operator or technician clearly demonstrating their ability - not simply passing a multiple choice test. Through hands-on learning, computer interactive modules, classroom learning, and a final verification exam, students will be trained and earn a Level I certification. GSPC Level I covers the following aspects of plastics processing: Safety of the Workplace; Effectiveness of the Workplace; Effective Working Relationships; Quality Changeover in Production; Machine-Based Process Preparation; Continuous Production Monitoring; Process Machine; Molding Process; Molds; and Understanding Plastics. This course is self-paced and schedules are flexible at your facility. Processes available: injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming. Call the PIRC at 570-321-5533 for more information.
