PIRC Course
Plastics Materials and Processing
This workshop is designed to provide participants with a fundamental knowledge of plastics and how they are processed beginning with the early history of plastic materials to the present day high performance engineering grades. Participants will gain a basic knowledge of plastics (polymer) materials and their common manufacturing techniques. Hands-on sessions show how certain datasheet properties such as melt index, tensile strength, and impact resistance are determined and introduce participants to such processing techniques as injection molding, extrusion, rotational molding, vacuum forming, and extrusion blow molding.
There are currently no classes scheduled for this course. Please check back at a later time or contact WDCE to see when the course will be offered again.
