Christi J. Crist, a technology management major from Canton, has been chosen as the Student Government Association’s “Student of the Month” for April.

She participates in SGA, has served on the Student Affairs Committee of Penn College's internal Governance system, has been an orientation leader for incoming freshmen and has taken part in "Powder Puff Football." She also holds a part-time position in the Madigan Library.

Her off-campus beneficiaries include the Lycoming County SPCA, where she has participated in fundraising events and has cared for animals.

“In addition to all the activities she has been involved in, both on and off campus, she has shown leadership potential by volunteering to be a team leader in class projects,” her faculty nominator wrote. “She never fails to show an upbeat and eager disposition. Her attitude is infectious and motivates her classmates to learn and achieve.”

SGA regularly selects a "Student of the Month" based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement. Watch PCToday during the Fall 2007 semester for the next round of nominations.
