Nearly 140 students marched as Pennsylvania College of Technology held Summer Commencement ceremonies Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Community Arts Center. Clockwise from bottom left, College President Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour turns the tassel of student speaker Eric S. Kroner, student speaker; James E. Temple, assistant professor of electrical technology/occupations, hugs Amelia Tillet Nason of Montoursville, a family friend who graduated with her Practical Nursing certificate (and who will continue her studies toward an associate's degree); Dr. Gilmour joins Pam Anderson of Anderson Construction, a Chambersburg firm recognized with a Mentorship Award for its work with current students and graduates; Kroner, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant; Dr. Gilmour with Christopher P. McNally, an alumnus and chairman of the HVAC Technology Advisory Committee, also honored as a mentor; students march into the Arts Center; soon-to-be-graduates line West Fourth Street; and Stephen P. Legarski, commissioned as a second lieutenant in an Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps ceremony earlier in the day, graduates with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (congratulated by Dr. Gilmour and Ronna M. Cassotis, vice chair of the Penn College Board of Directors).
