A total of 2,274 fans attended
"Penn College Pack the Park Night" on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Bowman Field, as the
Williamsport Crosscutters fell to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers by a 12-2
tally. The first 1,000 fans received commemorative "Thunderstix," a number of
students won College apparel, and three enrollees unsuccessfully competed in
the "Scholarship Scramble" for $10,000 in tuition.
