PCToday Photo Gallery - Outreach Events

Thursday, April 28, saw a pair of outreach events at Pennsylvania College of Technology campuses. Youngsters took part in the national "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work" day, lunching with President Davie Jane Gilmour and sampling some of the college's hands-on majors, and the Schneebeli Earth Science Center held its spring show for high-school students interested in floral-design and related careers. The theme for the former was "A New Generation at Work," and the college's young visitors explored fields ranging from graphic communication and plastics to construction and nursing. The latter event included tours of the School of Natural Resources Management horticulture facilities, workshops on "Stylized Floral Design" and "Trendy Flowers to Wear," and presentation of beautiful and innovative designs by Penn College students.
