Forrest R. Persing of Snyderstown, a recent graduate of the Physician
Assistant Program, spent a week in Guatemala this summer as part of his final
senior internship. Persing was part of a 55-member team that included one
physician assistant, several nurses, a pharmacist, medical assistants and
about 14 youths, as well as translators and bus drivers. The group treated
1,674 patients during four days of clinics in rural parts of the country.
